Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) receive their training primarily in hospital settings but work in hospital, birth center, and homebirth settings.
Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) receive their training in out of hospital settings (birth centers & homebirth).
Our team of midwives has a mixture of CNMs and CPMs who bring with them well rounded knowledge from both formal educational settings and hands-on experience to support you and your growing family.

Midwives specialize in care for newborns through the first 6 weeks. We will come to your home for postpartum visits, in which we will check on you and your newborns wellbeing. We provide all newborn screening and medical care that is normally done in the hospital for newborns without health concerns. We recommend setting up care with a pediatrician before birth in case your baby needs any additional assessment in the first few weeks.

Your midwife team will check on you and your baby’s wellbeing at every prenatal and postpartum visit, as well as, throughout your birth ceremony. Midwives are trained and equipped to recognize signs of birth complications. We carry medications and supplies needed to handle the most common birth complications.
We will work with you to make a transport plan before birth to prioritize you and your baby’s safety if any complications arise that cannot be managed at home. If we need to go to the hospital, we will go with to advocate for you at the hospital.
